The 5th Professorial Forum "Science and Education in the Context of Global Challenges" of the Russian Professorial Meeting has ended

NAA’s Director took part in the V Professorial Forum

On November 22-24, 2022, the Fifth Professorial Forum "Science and Education in the Context of Global Challenges" of the Russian Professors' Meeting was held in Moscow to support the Decade of Science and Technology. At the event, the topical problems and scientific achievements were discussed, priority tasks for science and education development as well as the role of the Russian scientific and educational elite in fulfilling these tasks were identified.

The event was attended by representatives of the leading universities of Russia and the CIS countries, the Ministry of Education and Science, educational authorities of the Commonwealth countries, the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Russian Academy of Education. The Forum also presented awards to the winners of the national award of the Russian Professorial Assembly in the nominations "Professor of the Year", "Dean of the Year" and "Rector of the Year".

On November 23, the thematic session "State regulation of educational activities in modern conditions. The role of professional communities" was held. Lemka Izmaylova, NAA’s Director, made a presentation. In her speech, Ms Izmaylova drew attention to the updated model of state accreditation, changes in the regulatory and legal sphere that came into force on March 1, 2022, and noted the high role of improving the assessment of the education quality.

As a result of the sessions, proposals were worked out for the development of education and science.

For reference: The first Professorial Forum was held in 2018. The purpose of the Professors' Forum is to bring together representatives of various scientific and pedagogical communities, government bodies, whose activities are aimed at developing and improving education and science.
