Joint meeting of the boards with the representatives of the Republic of Belarus

On May 18, 2022, Ms Lemka Izmaylova, NAA’s Director took part in a meeting of the boards of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Education and the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus. The event was hosted by St. Petersburg Institute of Nuclear Physics of National Research Center "Kurchatov Institute" in Gatchina.

During the meeting, the issues related to the formation of a single scientific and technological area, the development of concepts for scientific and technical programs, as well as the implementation of joint innovation projects were discussed.

The Russian and Belarusian representatives paid special attention to cooperation in the field of general, secondary vocational and higher education; the formation of a joint action plan of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus in the field of state youth policy in 2022.

As a result of the event, the representatives of the boards reached the agreements and developed common approaches within the framework of bilateral cooperation in the field of education of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.
